COMMON QUESTIONS

Regarding Payment

Last year we printed our Issue 001 and our goal was to cover the costs of ethically printing a magazine for the young creatives of today. We succeeded. Currently we are crafting a community big enough to support our endeavours. For the WARRANT team it's a passion project until we build a foundation and grow our community.

Unfortunately our invitation is not a paid gig. Last year we moved offline as an experiment, away from the social media world and we discovered that having a place for your mind and art to grow without the surge of serotonin from social media is very valuable. It has made our growth slower, although more authentic, than it otherwise might have been. In the future paying/compensating people is in our sights but at this moment for us it isn't sustainable. We hope you understand.

Copyright Concerns

We include this within our first email to you;

Please note that by responding/confirming to the posting of your article, WARRANT reserves the right to publish the content online & in print, subject to the Editor's discretion.

This article will be posted on the website as you’re aware. Snippets might be pulled out for promotion on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Clear credit (and links to your own profiles) is ALWAYS given.

We can say with certainty that online articles will never be run in print without re-affirming the consent of the author. Printed zines are a different ball-game, and we usually ask for new content anyway if/when that time comes around!
