Malta (2019)

Bailee Tan

This trip eventuated from my first solo travel experience in 2017. It was full of adventure, I visited a few different countries, met up with some friends, went to a couple gigs and attended Tomorrowland, a music festival in Belgium.

Through social media, I managed to convince some Australians who were also attending Tomorrowland to befriend me.  We met for the first time on the other side of the world and danced like we had known each other for years. The most amazing thing is, some friendships blossomed months after returning to Australia, with others that I hadn’t met, we merely shared mutual friends or love for the festival.

The group/family we have created is a mixed bag, we all live in different states, we’re different ages, we have different views and different interests. But, we work.

Fast forward to now, still connected and strong after 2 years, we decided to celebrate our friendship and Tomorrowland’s 15yr anniversary by travelling back to the holy grounds, where it all began, all 16+ of us.

After the festival, we flew to Malta for some down time. It was full of beautiful scenery, delicious food, a variety of cocktails, amazing friends, countless swims, and endless laughs.

I am so grateful for these people and I’m excited to create new memories with them, these are some of my favourites.
