St Kilda Festival
Holly Blackmore
Moments captured on the foreshore, as mellow daylight bleeds into rhythmic night.
The first mosh of our St Kilda Festival endeavour - @pacesmusic. Only half of us make it in this far, the rest ramble over their Thai noodles somewhere on Acland St.
This guy is seriously loving Paces (@pacesmusic). Take that back; he is just seriously loving St Kilda Festival. So much so, in fact, he even goes up for a lengthy crowd surf. Arms flailing, legs flying, and we are the ones to drop him.
The group is reunited. Hola, amigos.
We decide to stick around at the O’Donnell Gardens Stage for The Bennies (@thebennies420). Easily the most intense mosh pit we have ever experienced. The crowd’s energy bubbles over like pot set to boil, and we lose ourselves soon after.
Here we have @madialexander going for a ride. The closing act is Architecture in Helsinki (@aihmusic); think effervescent drops and bright, frivolous colour. The Main Stage arena is illuminated by gauche strobes, body against body, a tinted blur in a distant subsection of memory.
